Chirst Church in Medium Prison

The grace, mercy and blessing the whole world is enjoying today is because of the presence of His church, and this is also applicable to us here in Medium Prison. All the tremendous changes experienced here in Medium Prison are traceable to the presence of His church.

In the past two years the Medium Prison has known different kinds of problems ranging from sickness, death, hunger, nakedness, rioting and future insecurity to mention but few. However, God has remembered His people using the Church as His agent of peace, hope, healing, deliverance and restoration. Christ Church Gbagada is one of several churches that has been outstanding in performance. Christ Church Gbagada is anointed indeed because Jesus Christ through them has done great things in Medium Prison. Among the goodness we enjoy many of which are still in place are Counseling, Welfare packages, Legal Assistance, Financial Assistance, and Infrastructural Provision.

Anytime Christ Church is on the P.F.N. roster for counseling in Medium Prison, there’s always a great impact in the life of the inmates both spiritual and physical because of the compassion and diligence displayed by their group of counselors, many backsliders have been restored, new converts were built and established on sound doctrine and many families have been restored or reunited.
Christ Church is known by the inmates for their kind gesture displayed by the gifts showered upon us such as toiletries, cloths, toothpaste, Vaseline, foods, Bibles slippers e.t.c. The outstanding thing about these materials is that are always brought in large quantities. For example, last year Christ Church single-handedly supplied soaps, toothpastes, toothbrushes, and Vaseline to all the inmates in Medium Prison numbering about 1,550 (one thousand five hundred and fifty), it was indeed a memorable day.

Christ Church has met our financial needs through cash donations. One of such was used to refurbish the vehicle used to transport the inmates to court alongside the payment of my school fees as a student of the National Open University.
Mostly during the counseling session which is interactive, Christ Church gets to know that many inmates were imprisoned because of minor offenses such as environment offenses, in such cases Christ Church has been the vessel used to set many of such free through the payment of the fines and provision of legal assistance.

Today at Medium Prison we can boast of clean water, a 750 KV generator and an ambulance. Water transmitted diseases were very common due to lack of clean water but today our story has changed. Kirikiri town is known for its problem of electricity, but thank God for His provision through His Church, these days with the help of the generator we can play our musical instruments and also pump water at intervals for adequate water provision for the inmates. Also inmates with talents were discovered in the choir, electronics repairs, generator repairs; this was made possible because Christ Church gave us a generator set.

Thank God that through His church and revelation of His word, the covenant of sickness and death has been destroyed in Medium Prison.
